Divyang Cell

The Divyang Cell at Late G. N. Sapkal College of Engineering is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and an inclusive learning environment for differently-abled (Divyang) students. The cell ensures that students with disabilities have equal access to education, facilities, and opportunities.

Support Services

  • Accessible infrastructure including ramps and barrier-free pathways
  • Special seating arrangements in classrooms and examination halls
  • Scribe facility for visually impaired and physically challenged students during examinations
  • Extra time allowance during examinations as per university norms
  • Guidance on government scholarships and financial assistance for Divyang students
  • Counseling and psychological support services
  • Assistance with hostel accommodation and transportation

Government Schemes

The cell assists Divyang students in availing various government schemes and benefits including the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) scholarships, Disability Certificate assistance, and other welfare schemes under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Awareness & Sensitization

The Divyang Cell regularly organizes awareness programs and sensitization workshops for students and staff to promote an inclusive and empathetic campus culture. The cell works to eliminate barriers and create a welcoming environment for all.
