The Department of Electrical Engineering is a blend of teaching and research activities pertaining to students. At present, the Department offers Bachelor of Engineering Degree. The diversity is reflected in the breadth of theoretical and laboratory courses that are on offer. The Department firmly believes in imparting a strong hands-on flavour to the courses that a student takes, and places emphasis on the laboratory component, internships and projects.

The Department has a healthy mixture of young and experienced faculty members, all of whom display high levels of enthusiasm and dedication. Apart from teaching and research, the faculties are actively involved in organizing technical workshops, camps, Seminars, Expert Talk, Industrial visits, Vocational Training, Internship in Industry, PowerPoint competition like IET’s: "PPT Present Around the World” to create an environment conducive to experiential learning. Department Organises National Level Technical Competition “TECHNOFEST “Every year. We Also Organise SPPU’S Quality Improvement Program (QIP) For students as well as Faculty Development.I am extremely happy to be associated with the students who have opted the core and oldest branch of engineering that is Electrical Engineering. The department believes in the multidimensional growth of all students. Keeping the above idea in mind the department encourages students to participate in extra and co-curricular activities, sports, cultural fest and paper presentation, seminars on technical as well as Non-technical subjects etc… To meet the growing demand of Electrical Engineers in the Government and private sectors, the Department is making best efforts to produce highly trained and capable engineers who can take up the challenges of the real world. Industrial visits, regular internships which assist the student in smooth transition from academic life to work life is regular feature of our department. The lab facilities are being upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for the students to learn and innovate. The Department Conducts special classes for preparation of MH-CET/GATE/ IES exams from this year. The Department also organizes interactive lectures on a regular basis by inviting Technocrats from Industry and Academia for the overall development of students. Electrical Engineering Student Association (EESA) has been established by the students for the extra-curricular activities. The goal is to organise Social and professional Activities Which Strengthen and Enrich the People Associated with it Directly or Indirectly. “Engineers are the creators of the new world”, going with these lines the Department has established “Innovation Centre”. Electrical energy is required extensively for domestic, industrial & Commercial use. Thus, opportunities for electrical engineers are Immense in almost every field. Students gain adequate knowledge through the programme to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering, software field and R&D; sector. They can be employed in Electrical, Telecommunication, Electrical hardware or software, Network, and Automobile industries. Consumer goods sector, power stations, designing and Manufacturing of electrical equipment, electrical machines, and many others employment avenues are also open for the graduates of electrical engineering.
