Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering has rapidly evolved into many diverse areas such as mobile, telephone, satellite communication & broadcast services, computers and medical electronics. The world-wide-web has led to an ever increasing demand of electronic systems to carry varied kinds of information. Modern sophisticated communication systems include analogue multiplexes, optical fiber links, digital routers, digital signal processing, and large scale user application software tools
The department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (E & TC) was established in the year 2009 has strong administration, infrastructure and dedicated team of Faculty. Meritorious students get admitted to this programme from all over Maharashtra. This is one of the major departments in the institute, offering two programmes. Out of these, one programme is at undergraduate level. The sanctioned intake for this programme is 60. The department also runs a postgraduate program: M.E. E & TC having specialization in Signal Processing, with an intake of 18. The aim of the department is to provide technical education of the highest standard. The department has always been on a high growth path to keep pace with the ever increasing importance of the major discipline of study as current technology trends.
The term Electronics and Telecommunication engineering denotes a broad engineering field that covers important subfields such as analog electronics, digital electronics, embedded systems, power electronics, communication systems. Electronics-based products play a vital role in our daily lives, from the sophisticated diagnostic equipment used in modern hospitals to leading-edge fiber optic communications.
Computer technology, telecommunications are advancing at an ever-increasing pace. We allow our graduates to work at the fore front of all the major areas of Electronics and Telecommunication engineering.
